John founded the Center for Serving Leadership which was established in 2011 and recently renamed World Serving Leaders. With over 40 years in executive leadership, he has dedicated his career to empowering leaders around the world.

Until 2020 Mark served as President & CEO of Intersect Illinois, a privately funded, not-for-profit, acting as the lead business recruitment and marketing organization for the State of Illinois. Prior to joining Intersect, Mark served as President & CEO for the Greater Rochester Enterprise (GRE), in Rochester, New York.
Believing firmly in staff empowerment, Mark’s ability to establish high-function teams has been consistent throughout his career. His motivational management style leads to fierce loyalty, constant collaboration, and accountability for the attainment of desired results.
Mark holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from St. John Fisher University and a master’s degree in business administration from the Ambassador Crawford College of Business and Entrepreneurship at Kent State University. Dedicated to giving back to his community, Mark has served on many community boards including as a member of the Board of Trustees for his alma mater St. John Fisher University.

Kevin Lee is a seasoned leader in business and strategic management with global experience at Microsoft, Hewlett Packard, and Cisco Systems. His leadership has driven transformation and revenue growth across 13 Asia Pacific countries. Kevin serves on multiple boards, is a member of the Singapore Institute of Directors, and holds advanced degrees in business. He and his wife, Jen, have two children, and he also serves as Elder of his home church.
Professor Sarone Ole Sena, based in Narok, Kenya, is Deputy Vice Chancellor of International Leadership University. With degrees from the University of Nairobi, Cambridge, and McGill, he brings global experience from organizations like World Vision and Compassion International. Over a 50-year career, he has trained leaders in 60+ countries and 3,000+ across Kenya. Passionate about integrity and character, he embraces Serving Leadership to build leadership capacity. He and his wife Sintalo have three grown children.
Brian manages World Serving Leaders’s digital marketing, social media, and logistics. Certified by ServeSafe and Global Priority Solutions, he is also a World Serving Leaders Trainer. The oldest of eight siblings, Brian is a devoted husband and father. Outside of work, he enjoys cooking, photography, prayer, and meditation.
Mike Weber is a senior executive devoted to servant leadership, shaping organizations through trust, empowerment, and care for people. Throughout his career, he has championed long-term relationships and meaningful definitions of success. Mike’s approach aligns individual strengths with business goals, creating value for employees, customers, and communities. He describes himself simply: “I am a servant.”
Mianitse Batundi Philemon, a pastor from Kitchanga, DRC, leads Église Évangélique les Aiglons and serves as National Coordinator for the Union of Men of God for Peace and Development (UNHDPD). He and his wife, Charlotte, care for four children and 15 refugee children. Trained by Dr. Nelson Okanya in the Serving Leader model, Philemon is a certified facilitator, equipping leaders across the military, church, and NGOs, and leading multiple cohorts in Eastern DRC to raise Serving Leaders nationwide.
Ruth Osiro, from Kisumu, Kenya, has 15+ years in Business Administration and Human Resources within hospitality. She holds a Bachelor’s in Commerce (Marketing) and is completing a Master’s in Strategic Management, with additional training in Intercultural Competence in Germany. Serving on MEPERI’s board and as a long-time leader in the Kenya Mennonite Church, Ruth empowers leaders and, as a Certified Training Partner with World Serving Leaders, is dedicated to building better leadership through the Serving Leader model.
Helmwise, founded in 2023 by Scott Medieiros, brings over a century of combined experience to guiding leaders of enterprises large and small. Alongside Helmwise Fellows, we partner with seasoned “Captains” to reduce dysfunction, scale operations, and preserve culture so organizations can serve others. Passionate about helping leaders navigate an ever-changing seascape, we provide wisdom, proven principles, and a community of peers to bring clarity, confidence, and peace of mind on the journey of growth.

SOS Adventure, founded in 1996 by Johannes Amritzer and his wife Maria, is a non-profit evangelistic missions ministry. The organization organizes massive festivals across the African continent and equips teams to serve alongside its mission. With the Holy Spirit as Director and Jesus as the center, SOS Adventure journeys through Africa’s frontiers with a singular purpose: to proclaim the Gospel to the lost.
Leonel Alaniz, born in 1999 in Nicaragua, began serving as a worship pastor in 2017 and now works as an associate pastor with a team of leaders in his hometown church. He has trained pastors in rural areas through the church’s Bible Institute. Recently married to Daniella, they share a passion for leadership development. After completing the Serving Leader Cohort with the World Serving Leaders, Leonel is eager to share the model with leaders across Nicaragua.
Dr. Sydney Barcus, with a Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, specializes in organizational transformation across Fortune 500 companies in healthcare, hospitality, and more. A consultant, coach, and speaker, she blends analytical insight with a heart for service, empowering clients to drive measurable impact. A passionate advocate for Servant Leadership, Sydney mentors graduate students and executives. Based near Dallas, she enjoys life with her husband Jimmy and daughter Sophia, along with reading, weaving, hiking, and puzzles.
Lisa has 30+ years of leadership, coaching, and program management experience across nonprofit, government, and faith-based sectors. A Gallup-certified Strengths Coach with an MBA in Strategic Leadership, she specializes in crisis management and team development. Inspired by The Serving Leader, Lisa is a certified facilitator of the Serving Leader Model and partners with Dr. John Stahl-Wert. She balances leadership with family life as a mother and grandmother and serves on her church’s leadership team.
Dan Cawley, Founder and former President & CEO of Cawley Chicago Real Estate and Metro Chicago Property Management, began his career in 1977 in his family’s real estate business and founded Cawley Chicago Commercial Real Estate in 1998. Grounded in core values and strategic planning, he focuses on client-centered, relationship-based service. The Serving Leader model has helped him define purpose, drive growth, and transition ownership successfully, while fostering collaboration and long-term success in the real estate industry.
Ian is a Master Human Capital Strategist with Canadian, Irish, and U.S. citizenship. A Queen’s University graduate in Human Resources, Finance, and Labor Law, he has led people functions at Fortune 200 and 500 companies, aligning culture with purpose. A teacher, speaker, and executive coach, Ian has shared insights globally on human capital strategy and Serving Leadership. Partnered with the World Serving Leaders for over a decade, he lives with his wife Toni and their three children.
Donnette, Nurse Manager at the VA Northeast Ohio Healthcare System’s Community Living Center, specializes in care for residents with complex respiratory needs. An Air Force veteran and medic, she also teaches LPN students at North Coast Institute. Living in Hiram, Ohio with her husband Shawn and two children, Donnette’s experience with the World Serving Leaders strengthened her focus on staff engagement, teamwork, and trust. She is committed to developing future leaders and fostering servant leadership in her organization.
Tad Douce is an educator, leader, and author with experience as a teacher, instructional coach, and school administrator since 1996. He leads EduEverything, Inc., overseeing national STEM programs like the National Robotics Challenge and Drones in School. A passionate advocate for purpose-driven leadership, Tad has shared the Serving Leader model across schools and organizations in the Midwest since 2016. He lives in Ohio with his wife Lori and enjoys building gadgets, traveling, and motorcycle adventures.
Ron Embleton has national and international experience in sales, marketing, leadership development, and teaching. Passionate about helping others serve with excellence, he has built businesses abroad and serves as a local pastor mentoring leaders and church planters in Northeast Ohio. Holding degrees in Evangelism, Language and Literature, and Leadership, along with TEFL certification, Ron became a Certified Training Partner through Serving Leadership in 2019. He lives with his wife and enjoys family life with their five adult children and grandchildren.
Rick retired from Honda of America Manufacturing after 30 years, holding roles from assembly line work to training and development. With an MBA in Organizational Leadership and Registered Corporate Coach certification, he is now Director of Business & Leadership at Rosedale Bible College, focusing on discipleship, curriculum, and community engagement. Rick’s experience with the World Serving Leaders deepened his passion for guiding others toward authentic leadership. He lives in Ohio with his wife Candy.
Ruth Hatchuel is the Veteran Experience Program Manager for Employee and Patient Experience at the VA Northeast Ohio Healthcare System. A Master’s-prepared Registered Nurse with 45+ years of clinical and leadership experience, she is certified in peri-operative nursing and as a Registered Nurse First Assistant. Ruth leads initiatives to enhance patient and employee experience through program development, data analysis, and conflict resolution. She is also a certified Trainer for the World Serving Leaders.
Dr. Andrea Hazim is a transformational speaker, author, trainer, and educator with 20+ years in personal development and social-emotional well-being. Founder of the Elev8Life educational foundation, she creates curricula and leadership programs to empower future leaders. Influenced by the World Serving Leaders, Andrea equips individuals and organizations for Biblical health of spirit, soul, and body. She lives with her husband, Dr. Jeff, and their three sons, and holds credentials in nutrition, chiropractic, broadcasting, and relationship education.
Dr. Jeff Hazim is a chiropractor, nutritionist, author, speaker, and holistic life coach committed to Christian family values and biblical leadership. Alongside his wife, Dr. Andrea, he shepherds their three sons and co-founded Full Stature Consulting. He pastors Kingdom Embassy Ministries and co-founded Nourish the Nations. Valuing the transformative impact of the World Serving Leaders, Dr. Jeff integrates integrity, biblical truth, and servant leadership into his coaching, ministry, and life philosophy.
Todd Johns is Founder and CEO of Revive Ministries, Inc. in Nicholasville, Kentucky, leading initiatives like Revive Life House for long-term recovery. A Valley Forge University graduate with a BA in Pastoral Ministry and Theology, he brings experience from business and ministry, including Whirlpool’s global supply chain and church planting. Passionate about helping others discover their purpose, Todd, married to Casey with three children, enjoys family, hiking, and fostering community, and is committed to leading future Serving Leadership cohorts.
Toni Kellar, ACC, is a transformational educator, certified coach, and organizational consultant, founder of Newsight Life, LLC. Specializing in ontological coaching and facilitation, she helps individuals and teams move from breakdowns to breakthroughs. A Newfield Certified Coach and ICF-accredited professional, Toni advances flourishing systems through her work with the World Serving Leaders, including developing World Serving Leaders’s online training program. Based in Southeast Ohio, she enjoys kayaking, hiking, photography, percussion, and lifelong learning with her husband.
Ted Kerr is Founder/CEO of Touchstone Capital, Inc., a Registered Investment Adviser managing $160M for 300 households across 24 states and abroad. He also leads Touchstone Cares, a nonprofit supporting global charities, including Transformada Vidas in Brazil. A Certified Financial Planner® and Westminster College alumnus, Ted is a recognized industry expert and speaker. Passionate about serving others, he resides in Cranberry Township, PA, with his two children.
Stanley is a coach, trainer, and speaker who has inspired thousands across the U.S., Africa, and the Caribbean. Holding degrees from Nyack College, Fairleigh Dickinson University, and Fuller Seminary, plus an Honorary Doctorate in racial reconciliation, he combines academic and practical leadership expertise. Based in Northern California with his wife Ruby, Stanley enjoys travel, tech, and mystery films. As a World Serving Leaders training partner, he is passionate about helping leaders and teams grow, succeed, and lead with purpose.
Gabriel Madrazo, based in Mexico, is a husband and father of three with expertise in marketing, music, business development, and consumer behavior consulting. Passionate about developing effective teams, he applies the World Serving Leaders’s tools to foster high-performance cultures. Having witnessed the impact of poor organizational culture, Gabriel is committed to guiding organizations to thrive and grow through the Serving Leader Model.
Merv is an experienced business and nonprofit leader who embraces growth through hands-on learning and reflection. Since discovering the World Serving Leaders in 2020, he became certified in World Serving Leaders training and the 6 Working Genius Assessment Model. Living in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, near his Amish roots, Merv treasures his family of six children and is passionate about helping others grow in the Kingdom of God. He lives by the motto, “Start serving where you are today.”
Dr. Jeri Muoio, President and CEO of Great Cities for All, helps organizations build strong cultures, develop leaders, and create thriving workplaces. A former Mayor/CEO of West Palm Beach, Florida, she brings expertise in public education, senior leadership, and coaching. Trained in the Serving Leadership model with John Stahl-Wert, Jeri is a certified facilitator and Master Executive Cohort alumna. She lives in West Palm Beach with her husband Charles and enjoys time with her family, including three grandchildren.

Jay Schindler, President and CEO of Miami Valley Leadership Foundation and founder of G2 Potential LLC, provides executive coaching and leadership development across the Midwest. A former CEO of Eskco Corporation and senior consultant with the Oliver Group, he brings deep experience in leadership strategy and talent development. Based in Dayton, Ohio with his wife, five children, and two grandchildren, Jay is inspired by the Serving Leader Model and partners with World Serving Leaders to help leaders grow with purpose.
Kimberly has 40+ years of experience as an educator and executive leader in early childhood education across for-profit, nonprofit, Head Start, and public sectors. Former Executive Director of Ohio AEYC and current CEO of the National Early Childhood Leadership Center, she is a certified facilitator of the Serving Leader Model. Partnering with the World Serving Leaders since 2017, Kimberly equips professionals to lead with purpose. She lives with her husband Larry, their Australian Shepherd Molly, and is a proud mom to Ashley.
Merle has 25+ years of experience leading businesses and organizations, focusing on developing himself and others as serving leaders. Inspired by Dr. Stahl-Wert’s teachings, he integrates serving leadership principles into his work, driven to raise leaders who further the Kingdom of Christ. Residing in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, with his wife Beth, he balances leadership development with family life, raising twelve children, volunteering in public safety, and serving as an overseer in his local church.
Felicia brings 30+ years of leadership experience across manufacturing, retail, service, and faith-based sectors. A consultant, coach, and trainer, she specializes in aligning vision, mission, and values to drive performance. Holding a Doctorate in Transformational Leadership and founder of the Praxis Institute, Felicia develops leaders who champion human flourishing and community impact. Introduced to Serving Leadership during her MBA in Hong Kong, she integrates its principles deeply. She lives in Kuala Lumpur with her husband, Derek.
Dr. Sanjay Bhattacharya, based in India with his wife and two daughters, is a strategic leader, coach, and author with experience in corporate, academic, and international development sectors. Holding a doctorate in Training and Development, he has led leadership programs and presented research internationally. A trained Lead Like Jesus facilitator and Global Human Rights Ambassador, Dr. Sanjay is committed to building leaders with integrity and truth and promoting servant leadership through training and mentorship.
Rufino Mateo from the Philippines is a civil engineering graduate and professional teacher who, alongside his wife, serves in the same school. For over 33 years, he has been a missionary and pastor, currently overseeing 16 pastors and 7 local churches as a Bishop. Rufino also chairs the Alliance of Christian Churches and Association of Pastors (ACCAP). He values the practical leadership training from World Serving Leaders, which has fostered his personal growth and equipped him to advance God’s kingdom by training others.
Dr. Eladio Mondez, Bishop Moderator of Integrated Mennonite Churches Inc. (IMC) in the Philippines and Mission Commission member of the Mennonite World Conference, holds a Doctorate in Practical Theology and a Graduate Teacher Diploma. A certified Training Partner with the World Serving Leaders, he equips pastors and church leaders to become authentic Serving Leaders. Married to Remedios, they have five children and eight grandchildren. Dr. Mondez is passionate about fostering servant leadership within IMC and beyond.
Nezer Mondez, from the Philippines, serves on the Senior Staff Leadership of Mennonite World Conference, focusing on youth through the Young Anabaptists (YABs) ministry and mentoring young leaders worldwide. Living near farms and mountains, he values the World Serving Leaders training for its practical lessons and collaborative approach. Passionate about empowering young leaders across church, politics, and business, Nezer envisions shaping a new generation that leads with purpose and follows Jesus’ example.
Morina Masda Minar Napitupulu, from Yogyakarta, Indonesia, is a business operator and supervisor at Hagios School of Life, coaching children in the House of Disciples dormitory. Married to World Serving Leaders Training Partner Binuko Edi Nugroho, they have two children. She serves on the Yogyakarta Indonesian Mennonite Christian Church Council and is passionate about developing young, servant-hearted leaders. CSL leadership training has equipped her to excel in both work and ministry roles.
Binuko E. Nugroho, a lecturer at Immanuel Christian University in Indonesia, serves as chairman of Majelis Umat Kristen Indonesia (MUKI). He holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s in Theology from the Evangelical Seminary of Indonesia and is pursuing a doctorate. Married to Morina with two children, Binuko is passionate about helping others realize their God-given potential. As a Certified Training Partner with the World Serving Leaders, he equips leaders to grow into the fullness of their calling.
Richard Rancap, a pastor and missions director in the Philippines, is an experienced leadership trainer and mentor. Valuing the World Serving Leaders training, he was introduced to the Five Actions of Serving Leadership™, which strengthened his core values and fostered a High Performance Culture in his ministries. As a World Serving Leaders Certified Training Partner, Richard is passionate about guiding others toward both vertical and horizontal reconciliation through servant leadership.
Pascal Waloc Azaza, a missionary in Tanzania, focuses on church planting and discipleship. Holding a Bachelor’s in Missiology, he is passionate about transformational leadership and building according to God’s patterns. Married with five children, Pascal’s life is grounded in faith and service. Trained by the Center for Serving Leadership, he is committed to leading like Christ and equipping others to serve with purpose, humility, and the heart of a Serving Leader.
Caleb Mwanangoy Bajafu, based in Lubumbashi, DRC, is Executive Director of Foundation Bible Training Institute and Bishop of Foundation International Ministries, overseeing 300+ churches and 400+ leaders. Passionate about mentoring, he equips leaders to serve and transform their communities. Embracing the Serving Leader model, Caleb empowers teams and reframes organizational vision for greater impact, following Jesus’ example of servant leadership.
Grace from Malawi, married to Anderson Chirwa, holds diplomas in Pastoral and Christian Leadership and has six years’ experience in microfinance. She has translated Reflections for Serving Leaders into Chichewa and is passionate about ministering to widows and orphans while engaging in commercial farming. A Serving Leader Cohort graduate, Grace is committed to training leaders worldwide, particularly church leaders, using the Serving Leader Model to inspire servant leadership and community impact.
Bernard Bwala is Senior Pastor at Nairobi Happy Church, serving alongside his wife, Pastor Lydiah, with whom he has three children: Prince, Prosper, and Pleasant. He trained in Youth Evangelism in the U.S. and earned a degree in Christian Leadership from Word of Faith Bible College. A graduate of the Serving Leader Cohort, Bernard found the training practical and transformative. He is passionate about equipping leaders and passing on this knowledge to build stronger, Christ-centered communities.
Rev. Dr. Chishibanji Celestin, from Mukwija, DRC, is a church leader, educator, and visionary dedicated to developing servant leaders nationwide. Married to Rev. Esperance Chirezi with five children, he holds degrees in education, Christian leadership, and ministry. As District Superintendent of South Katanga and CEO of Positive Green World Legacy, he actively shares the Serving Leader model, plants churches, and impacts communities. He is passionate about equipping leaders across the DRC to serve with excellence and purpose.
Harun Macharia Gacheru, an entrepreneur in Kenya, imports and sells used vehicles and is an independent distributor with NEOLIFE INTERNATIONAL, empowering others to grow their own businesses. A committed Christian, he is married with two daughters and two sons. Through the Center for Serving Leadership, Harun has enhanced his leadership skills and gained fresh insights. He is passionate about training and equipping leaders to become true Serving Leaders.
Reverend Jean Bosco Iteriteka is the Founder and Pastor of True Vine Church in Burundi and President of Hope Lift Initiatives, where he empowers communities through servant leadership, entrepreneurship, and ethical values. With over a decade of experience in public health and ongoing theological studies, he mentors emerging leaders and promotes church planting in underserved areas. A certified World Serving Leadership Trainer, Jean Bosco is dedicated to peacebuilding, trauma healing, and discipleship, driven by a passion to raise servant leaders who bring lasting community transformation. He is married to Ininahazwe Liliane, and together they have four children.
Dr. Kennedy ole Kerei, Quality Assurance Director at International Leadership University in Nairobi, Kenya, is an educationist and father of four. With expertise in educational research and leadership development, he embraces servant leadership. Trained by the Center for Serving Leadership, Dr. Kerei gained practical tools to apply and teach the Serving Leader Model and is passionate about equipping leaders globally to lead with humility, purpose, and service.
Chrysostome Kirimwingabo, from Burundi, is a Human Rights Advocate and emerging Leadership Trainer with seven years’ experience mentoring youth and leading initiatives across East Africa. Trained by the Center for Serving Leadership, he models integrity, empathy, humility, and purposeful service. With advanced training in Negotiation and Conflict Resolution from Sciences Po Paris and recognition as a Marianne Initiative laureate, Chrysostome empowers ethical, strategic leaders to create lasting community impact. He is married with two children.
Wilson Ole Koei, a Maasai from Narok County, Kenya, is an experienced Food and Beverage professional and Team Leader at Nashulai Cultural Training Centre. With 30+ years in hospitality, he mentors local youth and promotes sustainable livelihoods. Trained by the Center for Serving Leadership, Wilson embraces servant leadership and is committed to fostering a culture of integrity, humility, and impactful leadership in his community and beyond.
Tom Nak Kokanyi, a South Sudanese teacher and pastor in Arua, Uganda, has extensive ministry experience with refugees and founded two theological institutions focused on sustainable leadership. Holding an honorary Doctor of Divinity, he served as principal and director at Bishop Allison Theological College and South Sudan Evangelical School of Theology. Married for 47 years with seven children, Tom’s training with the Center for Serving Leadership grounded his approach in service and Christlike character. He now develops servant-hearted leaders through the Serving Leader Model.
Elizabeth Sein Lemiso from Kenya is a teacher, church leader, and mother of three. She enjoys reading, writing, storytelling, making friends, exploring, and traveling. After completing the Serving Leader Cohort with WSL, she gained valuable leadership skills through the Five Actions of Serving Leadership™ and is now equipped and eager to train others in this model.
Erick Shindano Mashupe serves as a pastor in Uvira, DRC, and holds degrees in Social Work and Community Development from Hope Africa University, as well as theology from One Mission Society. Married to Esther with two children, he is also a certified trainer through Internationale Leadership Institute and volunteers with Daily Wordfeast Foundation. Erick’s vision is to impact the world through the transformative Five Actions of Serving Leadership™.
Jeremiah Kimani Mbucha, from Kenya, is a Tourism and Hospitality Manager with 12+ years leading luxury bush camps, eco-lodges, and safari operations. Passionate about sustainable tourism, conservation, and community engagement, he prioritizes excellence, team training, and strong operations. Trained by the Center for Serving Leadership, Jeremiah credits the “Upending the Pyramid” principle with transforming his perspective and is committed to equipping others to grow in confidence and purpose through the Serving Leader model.
Ezekiel Ntaki Mbwega, based in Goma, DRC, is a pastor, church planter, and regional representative for Mercy Link Foundation Africa. Since 1994, he has led children’s and youth ministries, trained Bible club leaders, and overseen Sunday schools. Ordained in 2010, he holds multiple theology diplomas and also works as a farmer and livestock breeder. Trained by the Center for Serving Leadership, Ezekiel now equips servant leaders to build stronger teams, plant churches, and leave lasting community legacies.
Christine Karanja Mutua, based in Nairobi, Kenya, serves as a Lecturer at Daystar University. A devoted wife and mother of three young adults, she is passionate about continuous self-development and empowering others to grow. Her experience with the Center for Serving Leadership has transformed her understanding of leadership, particularly in shaping organizational culture through practical, actionable insights that immediately improved her leadership. Daniel Muvengi, based in Kenya with his wife and three adult children, serves as a lay leader in his local church and is passionate about discipleship and leadership development. With 30 years in international development and 15 years in senior leadership, he has trained, coached, and mentored leaders while gaining expertise in strategy, rural development, administration, and HR management. Daniel is committed to passing on the Serving Leader model to equip leaders in Kenya and beyond.
Zandra Narinoi Nchoko lives in Kenya where she serves as a community leader and a government official. Her vision is to impact the next generation with knowledge and self realization. She appreciates the CSL training she experienced and after her certification she says, “My vision is to use the knowledge I have gained from CSL to train the groups I lead to bring change to our society.”
Jean Bosco Nduwimana, based in Burundi, is a professional translator and interpreter, and founder of small enterprises and local nonprofits. Dr. Keneni Gutema Negeri, based in Ethiopia with his wife and three children, holds dual PhDs in Church Ministry (Servant Leadership) and Public Health. With 20+ years in Pentecostal ministry and academic leadership at Hawassa University, he focuses on church leadership development and strengthening health systems. As a certified Center for Serving Leadership training partner, Dr. Keneni is passionate about equipping leaders locally and globally to transform churches and health systems through the Serving Leader Model.
Jeremie Niyokwizera, a student at Hope Africa University in Bujumbura, Burundi, is dedicated to training Christian leaders and serving vulnerable communities. Inspired by the Five Actions of Serving Leadership™, he credits the Center for Serving Leadership with profoundly shaping his personal and leadership growth. Married with four children, Jeremie envisions establishing mission centers and hospitals to provide food, healthcare, and compassionate care, while equipping others to lead with purpose, integrity, and biblical strength.
Mercy Njagi, Digital Head of Financial Inclusion at Data Driven FINANCE in Kenya, leads strategic planning and stakeholder engagement to advance digital financial solutions. A graduate student in ethical fintech and inclusive finance, she is passionate about empowerment. Jackson Okanya, a community development specialist in Kenya, lives with his wife and two sons and co-founded a farming operation. Bishop Simon Onyango of Uganda, married to Alice with one son and four grandchildren, has led remarkable church growth since becoming the first bishop in 2019, expanding congregations in Uganda and South Sudan. A seminary graduate and former teacher, he credits the WSL Serving Leader Cohort with strengthening his ministry and community leadership. Now a WSL training partner, he is committed to equipping others to embrace and apply the Serving Leader model for lasting impact.

Serving with Compassion International Kenya, he is active in church and community leadership. A committed Christian, Julius embraces the Serving Leader Model, deepening his understanding of servant leadership. He is passionate about raising humble, courageous leaders to create a world guided by godly values and effective service.
Nathanael Thorne, an American living in The Gambia with his wife Krystle and two children, empowers people and organizations to align purpose with global needs. Holding a BA in Leadership & Organizational Management and a Certificate in Pastoral Ministry from Eastern Mennonite University, he has led in both for-profit and nonprofit sectors, including workforce development. Inspired by the Center for Serving Leadership’s Five Actions, Nathanael trains others to create lasting positive impact in their organizations.
